I was out pretty much all day yesterday and didn't want to take my good camera with me, or leave it sitting in the car all day. I didn't get a chance on the way out to stop and take some photos which meant that I had to do it on the way home. A quick stop and a few photos with the iPhone and that was about all the time I could spend as the weather was turning. While I was editing the photos down in the shed the thunderstorm hit. I uploaded the daily photo onto the CY365 gallery and headed back to the house to watch the thunderstorm. The dogs were pretty pleased I had gone back into the house as well, as they aren't very fond of the loud thunderclaps and lighting. The amazing thing was watching our solar lamps flickering with the closeness of each lightning strike!
Anyway, here is yesterday's photo. The story I've been told is that it is the grave of a mother and daughter who were amongst the first pastoralists in this area. It is quite difficult to read the weathered tombstone, but the mother was born in Carnarvon in Wales in the 1850s and died in 1933.
