We had a lamp set up to give extra light onto the pancakes and the camera was set up on the tripod. It was difficult to get the focus really sharp with the drizzling as the syrup tended to move around a bit and the area that is in focus with a wide aperture is very narrow - I wanted a blurred background so the aperture needed to be wide. The shots with the syrup didn't quite have the sharpness I would have liked. The icing sugar ones turned out more interesting but I would have liked to try again with a faster shutter speed to capture more drops, rather than the streaks of movement. However, I do like the way the icing sugar is settled on the berries.
The recipe I used was the Blueberry and almond pancakes from Taste.com.au - except I used frozen mixed berries.
Night all from this part of the world!
