When I went down to see the ladies and collect our eggs for the day I noticed that there were lots of lovely, tempting raindrops on the lemon tree - on the lemons, and the leaves - just waiting to be photographed. Of course I couldn't resist and went back to get my camera. What fun trying to take photos holding on to an umbrella and a camera and trying to capture a raindrop in focus while the wind was blowing both the leaves and the raindrops around!
So, choosing a photo for the day. I had some shots I was quite happy with, and a lot that were very ordinary (that happens most of the time). Steve wandered down to have a look and I was showing him one of the ones I had caught with a raindrop on it. I hadn't noticed, but Steve took one look at it and said it had to be that one, as the raindrop had caught the reflection of the lemon tree. We cropped it quite a lot and then had to remove the 'noise' but I think it's turned out to be an intriguing photo. Perhaps not terribly obvious at first glance, a photo that might make you have to look again.
I've just looked at the data and now I know why it was 'noisy' - the ISO was set on auto and came in at 2500. That lets in an awful lot of light. I don't think I would have managed to capture the drop otherwise.
