Last night we took Hunter for a walk down Kaiser Drive. Pretty much every house on the street has some type of Christmas lights and displays up, with several of them entered in the Christmas light competition. Even though Hunter had been with his family the night before he still had a beautiful sense of wonderment as he tried to take all the sights in. And wandering for over an hour didn't bother him as there was just so much to see.
I wanted to capture the glow on Hunter's face, both from the surrounding lights as well as the glow from within, that magical expression on his face. It was really difficult to do, as he was so engaged with what was going on around him that I didn't want to keep interrupting him to take a photo, not to mention the hundred or so people wandering down the street and the children all wanting to be in on the action. Hunter and Saba (grandfather) are sitting in a sleigh that someone has erected and encourages the children to sit in and get their photos taken. It was such a great feeling of community spirit. It was extra special to be able to share Hunter's wonder and enjoyment.
