Ok, I don't really know why I'm listing the daily prompt, seeing that I'm not exactly following it while I'm away from home. I guess occasionally I can manage to fit what I'm doing into the prompt. However today is about my real life. We out to the cemetery to clean out the flowers on my dad's grave. A quick snap on the iPhone as a record of today and a reminder of dad.
Photography is a very powerful way to record what I see around me; a way to record that which is important; that which I want to keep alive in my memory. It provides me with an opportunity to observe the details, the small things that are oftentimes overlooked in life's daily routine, as well as the big moments.
So, I guess even though at the beginning of this post I had no thought of connecting the prompt to the photo, I am grateful for the gift of sight to continue my photography.
