I posted off the Family Reunion DVDs late in the afternoon and took my mobile with me just in case there was something to photograph for the prompt, but nothing caught my attention. So I pretty much had to go with what was around the yard. That was mainly trees and branches against the setting light. This shot changed to black and white was probably the best out of the ones I took.
Dark: Not Bright | Black | Fading sun I posted off the Family Reunion DVDs late in the afternoon and took my mobile with me just in case there was something to photograph for the prompt, but nothing caught my attention. So I pretty much had to go with what was around the yard. That was mainly trees and branches against the setting light. This shot changed to black and white was probably the best out of the ones I took. However, what I really wanted to try was a photo of the moon. I've never tried a moon shot, so did the usual googling to find out how to go about it. The first problem I came across was that the moon was rather late getting up into the sky. It must have been around 10:00pm, which is late for me. Then the site I found talked about turning on the auto bracketing for exposure, but I'm not familiar with that control and even though I attempted the settings it didn't seem to work. I think I need to practice this a bit more, actually make that a lot more. Here are two of the attempts. Because these didn't work out particularly well, I went with the photo of the palm tree seeds.

The moon shots would have worked for mysterious/hidden/obscure. The palm seeds are beautiful, stark black, clear forms.
