Ahh I was running late in getting to this prompt and didn't have a lot of time before I had to leave to go to my ballet classes. So it was a matter of taking a variety of shots and hoping like crazy that one of them would be ok when I got to them the next day.
I took shots of water splashing into the sink (didn't look very good or interesting), the shower splashing onto the floor (also not good or interesting) and a few other things, but nothing was giving me a good splash. This is one of those prompts that can be difficult to set up by oneself as I didn't have someone to help drop something so that I could have time to focus properly and photograph the splash.
In order to get these two shots of a ball dropping into the dogs' water bucket, I had to hold the camera steady in one hand and hope like crazy the focus was spot-on while I dropped the ball. Many shots later, I didn't mind these two - well I didn't know that until the next day. I played around a little with the colour to try and make it more interesting, and also to highlight the action. I am quite pleased that these two actually managed to catch the ball as it impacts the water and that they're relatively in focus. I think I managed to capture movement, splash and action, and thankfully I didn't get too wet in the process.
Of course, Zimi was a little confused as to why I was continually dropping his ball into the water bucket. They did get a quick play with the ball before I headed off.
