I decided to put my macro lens back on my camera for today's prompt. This photo was taken in the late afternoon, after throwing the balls for the dogs and watering many trees and shrubs. As always, the afternoon sun casts a gorgeous warm glow and gives a soft, delicate quality to the flower.
To me, the beauty of a flower is such a simple, yet beautiful treasure and the white in this flower carries with it the symbol of purity. This is a blossom on our mandarine tree. The tree is slowly being covered in tiny, white flowers with the coming of spring, and brings with it the promise of more fruit later in the year. The orange and lemon trees are also in bloom once again. We are so lucky to have mature fruit trees on our property and do enjoy the harvest we get.
Ah, Sunday evening, the end of a weekend. I do hope yours was as you wanted.
For me it's now time for a little NCIS, a row of dark chocolate and then some reading ...
Night.
