I actually took this photo today (Monday) even though the prompt was for yesterday. We had an almost complete family gathering at my daughter's place. We were meant to go to the park for the little ones, but the weather turned against us. I think the kids still managed to get out and play and have a pretty good afternoon. It's been awhile since we've been together so it was lovely to have the opportunity to catch up over some nibbles, wine, and a late lunch. As you could imagine I took heaps of photos yesterday and I'm going to use one of those for today's prompt.
But getting back to yesterday. The prompt was old and new. I thought of the cameras, I thought of my hubby holding hands with our grandson (and took photos for it) I thought about records versus DVDs, or iPods/iPhones. In the end I've gone with the computers. Even though the computer in the front of this photo isn't really all that old in years, it is now old technology. It's amazing how rapidly technology is changing - pretty much before our eyes. The old computer, even though it stills works is no longer able to run the latest operating systems and therefore many of the internet sites will not run. The new Mac is faster, bigger, clearer and overall more powerful, but I wonder how long before it is made redundant. On the screen are shots from yesterday's gathering.
