What a wonderful day! We headed out early this morning to go to our grandson's third birthday and then at lunch time we headed back into the city to Juanita's place. From there we caught the train to Suncorp Stadium where we participated in the challenge to become the World's Biggest Orchestra. And we did it! With 7223 musicians participating, we are now officially the World's Biggest Orchestra. Wow - what a buzz and what a magical sound that many instruments make. After the event Steve, Juanita and I headed off for a well earned drink and celebrated with a bottle of bubbly at the Caxton Pub, along with a few other participants who happened to be there. You could spot the participants easily - we all had on bright blue T-Shirts with World's Biggest Orchestra challenge blazoned across the front.
With a day like this there wasn't time to actually follow the prompt but I thought that a photo from today would be much more meaningful to me. This photo was taken as everyone was leaving the stadium at around 4:00pm. I had my iPhone up taking random shots and in particular I liked the long shadows that were being cast by the afternoon sun. I am the long shadow with my iPhone out to the side and my saxophone case in my left hand. And appropriately for the prompt I've managed to crop the heads off just about everyone in front of me.
And seeing that it's been a big day I think this is it for tonight - I'm off to read. Night all and hope that you all have a wonderful Sunday whatever you may be doing.
