It's surprising but we have some plants which are still flowering. However I didn't expect to see the kangaroo paw flower the other day. I really don't think it's the right time of year. Anyway I thought it was a good subject for the prompt especially as the morning sun was hitting it. I like the tiny raindrops that are still on it after some light overnight showers.

I really don't think it's the right time of year. Anyway I thought it was a good subject for the prompt especially as the morning sun was hitting it. I like the tiny raindrops that are still on it after some light overnight showers. Of course I never take photos of just one flower so while out taking other photos I couldn't resist getting a shot of this raindrop hanging off a leaf. I think the starburst from the rain drop catching the sun behind is just gorgeous. Focus could have been a bit sharper I think. There are a couple of new photos at the bottom of the macro page.
