I really didn't want to take more photos of the dogs and cat so thought that I'd try for the eyes of some of the birds that come to eat in the mornings. We had quite a few sulphur crested cockatoos today so they were my target. Unfortunately I can't get too close before they take off so I had my telephoto lens on taking a heap of shots. While I was doing this I noticed one cockatoo move to a higher branch and then another followed it up. They started grooming each other. This is something I've never had the opportunity to see before so I took quite a few photos of them. This is the one I uploaded for the CY365 gallery. I just loved the way this one had its eyes half-closed - almost as if it was just pure bliss and you can see the tongue of the bird on the feathers as it cleans.
Some of the other photos of the cockatoos are in the Pets and Others Gallery.
