Well the inspiration email for Day 119 didn't come through until 9:00pm last night and I had no idea what was required for this prompt. Because my aim is to take a daily photo I took some shots around the yard. Actually, what happened in the afternoon when I still hadn't done a photo for the day was that I saw a kookaburra out on the front fence and they're a pretty rare occurrence at our place. So I grabbed my telephoto lens and took a couple of shots all the time trying to get as close as I could before it flew away. I didn't manage to get as close as I liked but with some cropping this is the shot that I liked.

I didn't manage to get as close as I liked but with some cropping this is the shot that I liked. While I was out the front I took the opportunity to take some shots of the grevillea flowers. I was shooting into the afternoon sun for these shots and not using a macro lens as I still had the telephoto on the camera. I was amazed at how the colours in the background turned out with the narrow aperture and really loved the colours behind the flower. I used a onOne Movie Looks - Wonka preset which has really enhanced the clarity and sharpness of this image.
