For the first time the Anigozanthos Flavidus (red kangaroo paw) and Agapanthus that we planted last year are in bloom. It seems to me that this is as good an opportunity as any to get some flower shots to add to my collection and I guess that they qualify for seasonal colour. As usual, I took a variety of photos of different plants and took some shots which had a greater assortment of flowers and colours, but I was drawn to the two below.
I really like the way the Agapanthus is uncurling, opening out from the bud that has been sitting there, tightly closed, for the past week or so. I'm looking forward to seeing this fully in bloom, which shouldn't be too far away.
And on a completely different note, Juanita put me onto what promises to be a really tasty website : http://www.sproutedkitchen.com Not only do the recipes look great, the food photography is also pretty good. Perhaps I might purchase the book.
Anyway it is time for dinner so that's it for me. Enjoy your day or evening.
Night for now.
