Travels ...
The conference we attended in Denver was just wonderful. We had the opportunity to hear Chris Klug, a motivational speaker whose story is amazing, as well as a number of other guest speakers including a researcher from Norway who heads an International consortium. It was a great opportunity to meet many people, from all over the US, Canada, the UK, and Sweden. Steve and I were the only Australians there and they were most impressed that we had travelled so far to attend. The conference and activities were quite intense with very little downtime.
Yesterday was our first real opportunity to do some sightseeing around Denver, so we drove up into the Rocky Mountains - about a 2 hour drive out of Denver. Of course I was not prepared for snow! It's spring over here, but never mind, it was just beautiful and it started snowing while we were up there.
Today we've travelled about 7 hours over the mountains where the outside temperature got to -7 degrees Celsius with snow and winds and ice on the roads. Quite the adventure! We're now safely tucked away in a motel in Rock Springs where we'll overnight before heading onto the Tetons.
These photos are from the trip to Bear Lake.

I'm not sure what the internet connection will be like, but I'll try to upload some photos as we go along.
