I must be seeing the end in sight! While in Mitre 10 on Wednesday to buy new paint rollers to finish off putting sealant on the pavers, I wandered into the garden section ... and came home with some veggies to plant. Yay!
Unfortunately my veggie and herb garden has been sadly neglected this year and I've not replaced anything, or planted anything new for ages. The herbs that have been established since I started the garden - rosemary, sage, parsley, thyme and basil - have thankfully survived my neglect of them, as has my eggplant bush, my one red hot pepper bush and some shallots. I was amazed at how many eggplants I actually got from the two plants; hopefully with a little TLC they will continue producing.
So in the next couple of days I'll be planting tomatoes, lettuce (3 types), pumpkin (2 types) and rockmelon. That's to start with and once they're happily in the ground, I'll get some more and get the veggie patch back up and running. I'm looking forward to eating what comes out of our garden, such a good feeling.
This was the image I had in mind when I thought about the prompt. I took a few other photos with different arrangements and from different perspectives, but the first one I took was the one I liked the best. Just a little bit of post production in Lightroom to get the effect I wanted.
And now I'm about to warm up my quiche, courtesy of our four feathered ladies. Night all.
