I think there was a bit of a mix up in today's daily email inspiration. The main theme was fine, but the other suggestions were from the self-portrait prompt. Reading through the email is seems that basically the idea behind today's photo is a macro shot, showing the uniqueness of something seen through a closer perspective than what one would normally view an object.
I was putting away the Christmas decorations this morning and was quite taken by these green and red beads so I took the opportunity to take some macro shots of them. I'm not sure if they are considered unique but I did like the effect, especially when I was getting my reflection in so many of the tiny balls. And then there's just that pop of red, which Katrina likes so much.
After it stopped raining I took a few photos of the raindrops on some of the plants, and one of the sunset - a gorgeous sky after all the wind, blackness, thunder and lightning.
