Well I knew what I wanted to take a photo of for today's prompt which is always a good start - and I even knew where to find it. My take on old school is my old typewriter that mum gave back to me during one of her cleanups - you know, the ones where you hand things back to your children that have been sitting in your cupboard for years ... and years.
So anyway I rescued it from the cupboard and dusted it off, set it up with paper and went to work. I couldn't believe there was still ink left on the old ribbon! I even typed that on the top of the page. It seems that most bits of it still work, except for the part that turns the ribbon, but that might just need some WD40 or something similar. I can't think the last time I used it, but it amused me just how easy and comfortable my hands felt on a 'real' keyboard. It's an old Remington. I wonder just how old it is.
I took a variety of shots from different perspectives but this is the one that I felt was more interesting. The processing has been done in Lightroom with changes to some of the presets that I have.
These were a couple of more standard type shots.
And I just realised it's been awhile since I've done a food post, so I'll have to correct that tomorrow or the next day. I think that's about it for tonight. We've had a fairly energetic day in the garden so are going to treat ourselves to a dinner at Harrigan's Irish Pub. Night all!
