I really wasn't sure what to do for this prompt; I just knew I didn't want to take a photo of a heart. I thought about taking a photo of sentimental sort of things, but I've done that for a previous prompt last year. I was after something else, but didn't know what. And still don't know to be quite frank. I'm sure there will be heaps of interesting ideas on the CY365 gallery today and I'll be asking myself why I didn't think of them.
Normally in the evenings Oliver likes to cuddle up with us while we're reading, for his pat and to do the typical cat head butt against whatever it is you're reading, along with rubbing up against your face - you know the sorts of things cats do. So I thought that would work for touching, heartwarming. Of course, that meant expecting Oliver to do his usual thing. Absolutely not happening! This is Oliver refusing to be cooperative and getting out of his cuddle. Great!
I was pretty lucky to get the one above almost in focus as he was constantly moving, and the light in the room is pretty low for photography - hence the high ISO and wide aperture. And just after I managed to get that shot he was on the move again.
