On The Windowsill: Backlit | Decor | Treasures
This prompt was about looking and considering the light when taking photos - noticing its direction, intensity and colour. It was also about objects being backlit. We don't really have those lovely windowsills you sometimes see in houses and the windows in our house have those really awful safety screens on the other side - not the most conducive for photography.
For this shot I took advantage of the afternoon sun coming in through the side door and onto the kitchen bench. I have a few bottles which hold feathers I've collected and I thought they would look good with the sun behind them and shining through the glass. The bokeh was a nice addition to the shot. I used my macro lens for this, even though it isn't a macro photo.
