In The Shade: Under The Umbrella | Cool Down | Relax
It's been pretty much a construction zone for the past week and even though the retaining wall is finished, the yard is now dirt and rock. Our outside furniture has been living inside so that it wouldn't get too dusty, the pool area is out of bounds and so there is very little that would fall into a 'relaxing space'. And it's cold. So there is no need to be cooling down or relaxing under a shady beach umbrella.
I was out doing the usual afternoon activities when I noticed some lorikeets in one of our bushes near the house. As soon as I moved to get the camera they took off, but it reminded me I needed to do my photo for the day. I had the telephoto lens on and saw this cockatoo in our front yard. It was a bit wary of me as I got closer - that's the little head tilt you can see. I took a few shots through the fence, but by the time I got to where I would have an unobstructed view it flew away. We actually had some of the 'golden hour' as you can see by the warmth in the light. Not completely on prompt but I'm running it. Now to choose which one.
