Of Poise: Graceful | Elegant | Balanced
This would have been a wonderful prompt to give me a reason to take photos at ballet class.
This photo was taken by Steve and I am looking particularly ungraceful trying to walk uphill in the snow in snowshoes. Not as easy as I had hoped. I had to remember to walk with my feet apart and I kept miscalculating where the back of the snowshoe was, so I would go to lift up my back foot only to find that I hadn't got the front shoe far enough forward and I'd be stuck. Not too bad when the trail was this wide, but there were many parts where the trail was barely wide enough to fit on.
I've obviously warmed at this point in the walk up as I no longer have on my thick jumper, scarf or windproof. Oh, it did snow while we were walking as well, just to add to the fun. This was taken at Lake Louise on our walk up to Mirror Lake. While we were doing this walk we came across a few people who had their dogs with them. It was amazing to see how much fun the dogs had playing in the snow. I've seen videos on youtube, but to see them for real was wonderful. One puppy was a German shepherd cross of about 5 months, and his energy reminded us so much of Zimi.
