A Doorway: Your Front Door | A Door You Use | A Place You Visit
A door featured in one of last year's cy365 prompts and I had wanted to use one of the carved pieces that we bought while living in the Emirates. I couldn't find it in time for that prompt, but it has since been found. It was just what I wanted for today's photo. While technically it isn't a doorway that I use, I've used it as a doorway and that works for me.
I placed this carved work outside (propped up by Zimi's water bucket) and opened one half of the door so one appeared to be looking through the door and outside towards the garden. There were a couple of shots that I liked but I've decided to run with this one. Perhaps because there is a sharper focus on the detail of the woodwork and metalwork, and the 'outside' is a little less obvious.

This was my second choice.
Well, Friday night and TV is done. Must be time to curl up with my Patricia Cornwell novel.
Night all!
