Under The Sun: High Noon | Warmth | Outside
Just to demonstrate what I mean about the prompt and the daily inspiration email not always matching. This is the text that came with the prompt:
Jump
Photographing people jumping has become popular, but it isn't new. Photographer Philippe Halsman first made jumping shots popular in the 40s and 50s. He said "when you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping and the mask falls so that the real person appears."
Needless to say (but I'm going to anyway), there wasn't anyone around to do any sort of jumping, so I've had to go with a more literal interpretation. As you probably know by now, we're in the middle of renovations and of course I have a heap of photos documenting the process. The question is, do I upload a 'real life' photo or do I do something more in line with the prompt.
I did wander out around lunch time for some photo updates.
There were some neat bits of machinery around ...
(PS: Those glass doors might look like the need cleaning - but that's exactly how they look after cleaning and about a day's worth of dog slobber!)
Tonight I finally got the sunset colours that I was hoping for, for the prompt of Solstice. This is out of the camera and completely unedited. Stunning colour!
