Oh, if only I was using photos I've already taken as I know I've taken heaps of photos that would work for this prompt. Ah, well, it's all good practice, and this is a part of daily life.
This prompt is about having the foreground in focus with the rest of the subject blurred foreground by using a wide aperture . The idea is to bring the focus of the picture onto a different point that would normally be seen. In a way, telling a different story.
Steve started learning the clarinet about three years ago and is really doing very well with it and enjoying being part of a wind orchestra in Brisbane. This was another photo that had me down on the ground and kinking my neck at strange angles. The things one does for their art!
This was my other choice for the prompt. Steve liked this one, I like the one of Steve and the clarinet. I was walking past some chain in the art area, and put it on the bench top. I had the macro lens on and didn't actually notice the crayons in the background until I started to take the photos. So the really wide aperture has blurred the crayons so much that they're unrecognisable as crayons but they provide some background colour. Played around a bit in lightroom, just for fun.
