Obviously a photo of spring is just not going to happen in this part of the world. Although I think spring is taking a long time to arrive in the US and other places this year, hence the question mark in the prompt.
We have a lot of fallen leaves on the ground and I'm not sure whether that's because we're moving into autumn, or whether it's the trees way of coping with the very dry conditions we've had this summer. And even though the mornings are showing signs of cooling down (16 degrees now) it is still managing to be quite warm and humid during the day and very, very dry.
This was another of those rather physical type of shots. Up and down on the ground, on my tummy, side and back trying to get a good perspective to take photos. I wanted to get one of the orange leaves - rather than all the brown ones - with the light shining behind it, so I took this towards the end of the day to get the afternoon lighting.
